Rob takes part in the 2016 Masterclass

Last September the series of master classes began that originated from an initiative between Limburg Paardensport (Limburg Equestrianism) and the LLTB-Work group Stable Management. The group consisted of six enthusiastic young equestrian entrepreneurs. Rob Claessens from Lumaro was amongst them.

Cissy Schuring, one of the initiators of the five-part series of master classes, describes the main theme of Master class as follows: “Setting up your own improvement plan for your own business, based on learning goals.” The subjects risk management, time management, marketing, staff and leadership, purchasing and sales, profit and loss and yield were addressed. The photo report here above was made during the master class that took place at the LAC Hoeve, Irma de Crom’s business.

As well as the figurehead of Lumaro, there was a great diversity of participants present. Patrick Lemmen (Hoeve de Schans), Leontien Raijmakers (Team Piet Raijmakers), Remy Bastings (Dressuurstal Remy Bastings), Nelleke Krol (Stal Krol), Irma de Crom (LAC Hoeve), Fenna Westerduin (Ondernemerslift+) and Cissy Schuring (Limburg Paardensport). The small, diverse group gave rise to many new and nice insights. Furthermore, there was a different guest speaker for each master class, who gave a talk about his or her expertise. In this way the entrepreneurs received information firsthand and the master class was of a high quality.

The last master class took place during Jumping Indoor Maastricht, where Frank Kemperman was the guest speaker: the JIM competition director. It was a wonderful closure to a series with inspiring guest speakers such as Luc van Moorsel (marketing and events bureau Equine MERC).

Rob was very positive about his participation in the Master class: “It is good to stop and think about things you don’t normally stop and think about. Furthermore Limburg is an important equestrian province and Limburg Paardensport (Limburg Equestrianism) exposes that exceptionally well!”.
